Out of necessity for a good square meal in this emerging community came Bite Café. A modern neighborhood diner began as the new market to table movement began to take form in this western artist enclave. Constantly evolving though the years with a number of talented young chefs, Bite Café continues to offer its customers creative comfort food, in a friendly neighborhood environment.

Bite Cafe to become a pizzeria by Michelin-star winner Noah Sandoval and restaurateur Bruce Finkelman 06/30/2020

We've loved spending the last 25+ years in Ukrainian Village as Bite Cafe, and we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your support and patronage spanning decades. An equally huge and heartfelt thanks to all the vibrant staff who have worked on the floor and in the kitchen over the years, making Bite exactly what it has been. We've loved being part of your weekend routines, celebrating birthdays and anniversaries with you, being your go-to vegan BYOB spot, feeding our musical friends, and so much more.

In order to be able to remain in the neighborhood we love, we have had to rethink the way we do business right now, which means really shaking things up. We're excited to share the first news about our new concept at 1039 N. Western Ave.: Pizza Friendly Pizza with Noah Sandoval. Sicilian-style pizzas by the slice, whole pies, vegan offerings, maybe even a Hangover Salad. We're looking forward to the new direction, and hope you'll come along for the ride. Keep following us here for opening dates, menu sneak peeks, and neighborhood exclusives.
