Hello Everyone!
We are a few weeks in on the launch of Carpusbooks.com!
We are a Christian used-book ministry that seeks to resell used books to "change the world one book at a time"!
Who are we? We are two Bible college students (pictured together) who are passionate about books and the global church! We want to see the two come together and to participate in what God is doing across the world.
What do we do? We resell used Christian books to raise funds for small ministry projects across the world. We receive donated books and sell them online to all. Every dollar that we receive goes completely to the funding of these small projects!
Who and what are we supporting? Our first endeavor is to raise $1600 for Pastor James in Uganda (pictured on the right). He is a pastor in the largest refugee camp in the world, and the ministry serves the disabled community within the camp. This money will give us the ability to provide Pastor James and his church with 10 sewing machines, fabric, and delivery to their camp. These materials will be used for providing clothing for the disabled, but also to generate income to provide food for many of the families. These brothers and sisters are currently living off of 6kgs, or about 13 lbs, of maize per month, given by the UN. In turn, this gift will open new doors for Pastor James and his church to share the gospel with the communities of people the ministry serves.
