Oh this charming, charming book. I LOVED IT SO MUCH!! I finished reading it 2 days ago and haven’t stopped thinking of it since. So much to think about and analyze! While I wouldn’t say that magic realism is my preferred genre, there’s just something about the way Rebecca Serle writes that makes me keep second guessing that (STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING RIGHT NOW AND READ IN FIVE YEARS IF YOU HAVEN’T). I ❤️ you, !! Thank you for writing another amazing book filled with so much depth, I’ll be thinking about this one for a long, long time…

One Book One Community!! This year’s selection was the absolutely magnificently written Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano. I was invited by and to join the amazing community of readers for One Book One Community’s 10th year and participate in the various discussions and events. What a wonderful experience this was! I absolutely LOVED this book…highly, highly recommend. Truly, what a stunning book with such deeply rich and beautifully complex characters. I didn’t want for it to end! Swipe to see pics of my OBOC participation including my beautiful swag bag courtesy of the amazing and amazing , a fantastic book discussion at led by the wonderful , and the lovely herself at the finale event who spoke so beautifully and powerfully. HOT. This book is HOT. I loved it! However…I never really felt the connection between these 2, not like the men in book 1. The lust? Oh I felt that for sure. NOTED. But the actual emotional connection? Eh. Also, I didn’t like the ending (I won’t elaborate as to not give away spoilers) and the pacing/timeline/switching of settings and POVs throughout the whole story was annoying. BUT those 🔥 scenes?? LOVED. I’m currently watching the show and I will say, it’s so true to the book! Some changes but honestly, those changes are for the best. I LOVED THE EPISODE WITH KIP AND SCOTT (the couple from book 1). That love story was just so much better and deeper (😂🔥) than this one! Also, the actor who plays Ilya is significantly hotter than the actor who plays Shane. Loving it, just wishing Kip and Scott were a bigger part of it (especially Kip, he’s SO HOT. Scott could be hotter, lol). Overall awesome first 2 books in this book series! Will I continue with book 3? Eh probably not. The fact that each book focuses on completely new characters is annoying and doesn’t make me feel invested enough to continue reading. BRING BACK KIP AND SCOTT!!!!
