The Southside Community Optimal Redevelopment Enterprise (SCORE), a community development entity (CDE) controlled by McCaffery Interests, Inc., is thrilled to announce it has been awarded $50 million in New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) from the 2023 U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund. First funded in 2012, SCORE has received $370 million in awards to date, which has financed 55 businesses, supported the creation and retention of more than 6,500 jobs, and provided services to more than 150,000 individuals in Illinois and Indiana.

This 6-acre, transformative development in Chicago's neighborhood is recognized for its outstanding community engagement, diverse multi-generational living options, and commitment to affordable housing.

The award marks an exciting and impactful milestone for the property, as the ULI program is a prominent indicator of the highest standards of development achievement within the industry. Lincoln Common is one of just 10 developments across North America – and the only winner – that will now compete alongside projects from the Europe and Asia Pacific regions in the 2024 ULI Global Awards for Excellence.
