Real Men Cook - Chicago

Looking back at our 37 years, one highlight was our Father's Day work 20 years ago, when we were rolling in 13 cities. Teams produced our events, all on the same day. We got this call while Emeril was in New York, so our New York volunteer cooks in Harlem answered it. They told our story and carried our spirit forward. We don't post this much because our healthy eating plan, including serving salads and greens, even fresh fruits, definitely got lost in Emeril's surprise menu. Most of our guys didn't even eat port!
That was a dowmer. But we gifted the audience with copies of the magazine. Guess who wrote the foreword?

As we plan for Real Men Cook 2026, the 37th celebration, we look back and reflect, realizing that an entire generation of youth may not know the genesis. It's up to us to add tradition and legacy to Father's Day. Please gather the family on Father's Day Sunday, 3-6 pm, to share the love with us, sample scrumptious food, enjoy great live music, and have fun. We'll salute the men past and present who have volunteered or served in other ways, representing everything good in family and community.
This is not just about biological fathers but also about brothers who have gone the extra mile to positively pour into other men's children, for whatever reason.
By the way, one of the best gifts you can give a man is a day out where he is celebrated, whether Father's Day is about how long you've experienced his goodness and greatness, or whether this Father's Day will be the first day of the rest of his life of freedom to serve and begin again.
