From 1984 to present day, Michael Charles has gained great media recognition in his homeland, Australia. Traveling a promotional tour which landed him many guest appearances on the “Good Morning” shows in different cities, including a debut of his original ballad "Started Again" on Good Morning Melbourne, appearing several times as a guest on Denise Drysdale’s show, and also performing on The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. MC’s videos have aired on Rage, MTV, and Night Tracks. In radio land Charles is privy to a long and great history with Max Crawdaddy of 3RRR, Helen Jennings of PBS Radio, Baz Maxwell of Blues on the Hill, Sam Gervasi of 98.9 Northwest FM, Michael Holman of the Almost Blues Show, Greg Webb of 3MDR, and Tony Rockwell of 3NRG radio. In printed media, articles on Michael appeared in “Musician Journal”, “Muso”, “Rhythms Music” and “Australian Musician”. Michael is also one of the artists featured in Pauline Bailey’s 2025 Blues Portrait book – A Profile of the Australian Blues Scene Volume 5.
