A dark unromantic comedy, Present Perfect is set in Chicago around three friends, each with their own distinct relationship difficulties.
Stephen searches to find and get back the woman he had.
Bruce tries to win the heart of a woman he can’t have.
And Rob can’t decide if he wants to keep the woman he has.
The subject matter has a twist of cruel and unusual comedy shoved into an over-grilled brat of Chicago realism, that gives you the flavors of ill social life, economic class warfare and moral ambiguity, all embodied within a chunk of good `ol Maxwell Street cynicism.
