First of all, I have to acknowledge the One who has kept me. Thank you, Lord. My twenties have been the most challenging, yet the most rewarding. All the milestones, the degrees, the relationships, the work that it took to just be here. I have accomplished in my twenties what most don’t in their entire lifetime. It’s more evident to me now more than ever that God’s hand, His love, His favor has allowed me to prosper. I take none of the credit. Bringing in my new year was about intimacy. Being quiet & in a space of clarity. I spent time with the people that I love the most. I spent time with the people that love me the most. I heard from people that I haven’t spoken to in years. People picked up the phone to call that I haven’t been on terms with in years. A reoccurring theme in my life is one of forgiveness, learning how to love well, more than that- learning how to BE well. I’m thankful for the work that God has been doing in my heart, my mind, my Spirit, my body. He truly is a healer. I am so grateful. I am so in love with the woman that I see. I believe that God is proud of me. I believe that I am becoming the one that God knew when He formed me. I believe in His plan for me. I believe He loves me. & on this year, I just wanted to tell Him thank you, Father.

A Story about a Story:

Around this time last year, I had a roof over my head but no place to call my own. This is after a year & a half, moving from place to place. My car as my closet. & a storage unit that held all my belongings.

I share this moment because I never knew what God was working on behind the scenes. I wrote this book 2 years ago in an empty apartment in Arizona, I was literally in the desert. I thought that God had forsaken me. Again, I never knew what God was working on behind the scenes. I had my own plan & design for how I thought it should go. Now I have a hard time planning because life is so unpredictable, but I do trust. I do believe that it’s all for my good.

This is more than an e-book, this is proof that God can take you from being desolate to walking through living & breathing waters. Today I bow in gratitude for never giving up. For being open to God’s plan. & more than that, surviving it all for you to be able to hear the story.
