The band is influenced by the songwriting and studio experimentation of 90's and 2000's innovative Alternative/Indie rock bands like Wilco, My Morning Jacket, The Flaming Lips, Ween, Arcade Fire, Pavement, and Dr. Dog, and fuses it with genre-bending, progressive musicality, and exploratory improvisations in the vein of The Grateful Dead, Phish, and Umphrey's McGee. And that's officially our last toast to Lawndale! Bittersweet scenes last night as we loaded up the Uhaul. Zero chance we left it better than we found it but I think we did some pretty cool stuff here and gave it one hell of a ride. Love you lots Irving Park!
If those walls could talk you wouldn't be able to hear anything over the Chuck Mangione blaring thru the hallways but no doubt you'd be able to tell a good time was being had. I'm sure we'll inevitably put together a photo dump from across the 12ish years we squatted here, but for now thanks to everyone who came to hang, and a bigger thanks to John for never raising the rent!
