For Giving Tuesday, the McCormick Foundation is matching all online gifts at 100% up to $50,000 so you can double your impact. And, you don’t have to wait – as one of our loyal supporters, your donation will receive our 100% match now if you donate online.

Today is your opportunity to double your gift and help more McCormick Foundation grantees like the New Life Centers for Chicagoland’s Little Village-based food pantry, Pan de Vida. Pan de Vida partnered with the Greater Chicago Food Depository to meet the increased demand for food throughout the pandemic with additional distribution locations.

Remember, when you donate $1,000, it becomes $2,000. In addition to our special Giving Tuesday match, the McCormick Foundation covers all expenses, so 100% of your gift, plus the 100% match, goes directly to local nonprofits that are addressing issues related to education, health and wellness, and jobs and economic opportunity. Your support can change lives. Donate today: https://bit.ly/3o48vwd

We honor our nation's veterans today for their brave and dedicated service. Our gratitude and thanks mirror Colonel Robert R. McCormick's sentiments, as he thanked First Division veterans at an annual Veterans Day reunion at Cantigny Park.

Congratulations to our very own, Megan Everett, Veterans Program Director, for being named one of Crain’s Chicago Business 2021 Notable Military Veteran Executives.

Megan Everett oversees strategy and grant-making for the Veterans Program. She manages a $3 million grant portfolio in partnerships with veteran and community organizations in Chicago and Illinois. Everett was commissioned as a surface warfare officer from the Cornell University Naval ROTC program in 2000. She served aboard two ships and deployed twice to the Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. During the pandemic, Everett coordinated with the USO Illinois to support the National Guard and Team Rubicon to launch COVID testing sites. She also teamed with the Travis Manion Foundation for food insecurity and Thresholds on issues of financial insecurity. She’s increased the number of organizations funded at McCormick focusing on employment, student veterans and wellness from 12 to nearly 50.
