A 23 year tradition continues. It was a little easier to sneak in a Mother’s Day shoot with mama bear in Europe. But here it is! Shot just under the wire. How it’s going, and one from Year 1! Happy Mother’s Day everyone.

We didn’t have the Scout cookie fundraising. We didn’t do band candy bar or Christmas time popcorn. But we do have a young director needing a little financial assistance so she and her team can make their movie. Funds pay for actors, location etc. Check them out. Contribute if you can.

One thing is for certain. The Chicago Symphony attracts the best in the business. For the past 11 seasons, that was certainly the case for House Manager. Today, after a packed house for the piano recital leaves, Charles Braico is stepping away from his post and heading off to a new career. Knife jugglers have nothing on Charles' ability to handle whatever was thrown at him from power outages to over self served patrons who feel their seat has been taken. I for one will miss him and his amazing sense of humor and charming grace, and I cannot fail to to mention his tucking away in the terrace above the stage during the pandemic to run our camera(s) that were often placed there. Charles is heading to Holland America in their sales division. I plan to be a customer.
