HSI is among the largest human service employers on Chicago’s Westside and operates 50 programs in 15 Westside locations. HSI’s 200+ employees, interns and volunteers serve well over 7,000 people at risk of institutionalization, hospitalization, incarceration and mortality annually; thereby reducing high institutional and emergency room care costs significantly.
