In early September, we hosted the first ever Connect Chicago Working Group. This coalition of trainers, advocates, and nonprofit professionals is working together to create a digital skills road map — something that all programs and trainers in Chicago can eventually use to craft customized learning pathways for those they serve.

Before we sent them off to mentor Chicago's youth for 6 weeks this summer, our Youth-Led Tech instructors underwent extensive training. Take a look behind the scenes of one of these training sessions focused on rapid fire curriculum design.
What makes Youth-Led Tech special is the opportunity for youth and adults to co-create curriculum based on the youth's interest areas.

Youth-led Tech Summer 2016 is a technology mentoring program for youth ages 13-18 in three Chicago neighborhoods: Austin, North Lawndale, and Roseland.
