In a post hoc analysis of the Neotorch randomized clinical trial, perioperative toripalimab plus chemotherapy for stage III resectable was associated with higher rates of surgical eligibility, tumor downstaging, and lymph node downstaging, without an increase in perioperative complications compared to chemotherapy alone.

Among patients who proceeded to surgery, toripalimab achieved better event-free survival, particularly in those with tumor or lymph node downstaging.

These results indicate that adding toripalimab to standard perioperative therapy can improve surgical and survival outcomes in resectable stage III NSCLC, with safety outcomes comparable to chemotherapy alone.
