Spring is very near! Be sure to choose some plants and flowers that are native to your area and will support our pollinators. PLANT THESE TO HELP SAVE THE BEES: 21 BEE-FRIENDLY PLANTS by Hannah Rosengren. Do you have more bee-friendly planting suggestions?

Make sure you're not unknowingly buying bee-killing plants pre-treated with neonicotinoid insecticides from stores like Lowe's, Walmart and Home Depot. That's right, these stores, and others, are selling plants pre-treated with neonics that are killing our pollinating friends. Home Depot has stepped up to require their suppliers to label plants pre-treated with neonics - thanks Home Depot. But we need them to take it further! Ask your retailer to phase out the use of neonics on plants. Reach out to your favorite nursery, or suppliers to stores like Lowe's Home Improvement, Walmart, and The Home Depot, and ask them to dump the neonics. Your voice makes a difference!
