MY FATHER’S BLACK MANHATTAN

2oz Woodford reserve bourbon
0.5oz Montenegro
0.5oz cynar
1 dash angostura
1 dash chocolate bitters
1 dash orange bitters
Add all ingredients to mixing tins and roll from one tin to another over ice. (Or just stir it, but rolling is preferred)
Garnish with luxardo cherry wrapped with an orange peel. Orange oil expressed and discarded.
In honor of my fathers birthday, this is his preferred cocktail. I was privileged enough to introduce this cocktail to him, and even more privileged to be able to say after years of tasting black manhattans, this variation I created is his favorite.
