He is a 21-year resident of Chicago’s Edgebrook neighborhood, where he lives with his wife Sarah and raised his two children. Michael grew up in the Midwest. His mother, an immigrant from Ireland, became a public-school teacher. His father, who lost his own father at a young age, worked through high school and college to support his family and became a public servant. Michael is the oldest of six
children, in a family that valued the importance of education. He graduated from Bradley University, and earned his MBA at DePaul University. Work
