José Alfredo is an entertainer and educator who grew up in Chicago’s La Villita. A graduate of DePaul University’s School of Music (BM ‘11), he has formed part of musical theatre productions throughout the Chicagoland area in shows such as “RENT” and “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”. As a singer José Alfredo was a founding member of the musical group Madera Once and he has enjoyed singing for audiences at the Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park for the “México en el Corazón” concert, The Metro, and opening for La Santa Cecilia at The Concord. Currently, he is in his 12th year working with Chicago Public Schools.

Peperomia Frost🌱
Fun fact: There are over 1,000 types of Peperomias. They can be found in Mexico, Peru, West Indies and Africa and Southern Asia. The Peperomia plant is related to the pepper plant!

Care tips:

Light ☀️: They enjoy bright indirect light. Keep out of direct sun.

Water 💧: This plant needs moderately moist soil. But as with all Peperomias you should be careful to not over water.

Humidity 💨: This plant does well in normal house humidity.

The Pilea has many nicknames! UFO, Pancake and Friendship plant are just a few. This is a very low maintenance plant and it is Pet Friendly !⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Humidity 💨: They will thrive in increased humidity but will adjust to normal home humidity levels.
