Rush University is excited to announce that Ted W. Love, MD, former CEO of Global Blood Therapeutics, will serve as this year’s honorary speaker for its 54th Commencement Ceremony on May 2.

‌Love has a long and distinguished career in the biopharmaceutical industry. He led Global Blood Therapeutics from a pre-clinical startup into a multinational commercial business, and introduced a first-of-its-kind treatment for sickle cell disease.

We’re pleased to share that Jason Turner, PhD, has been appointed dean of the College of Health Sciences. Turner has served as interim dean since early 2024, overseeing 10 academic departments. Many of the college’s programs are recognized among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report.
