When I first moved to Chicago all I cared about was happy hours, nights out with friends, and how I was going to pay my rent. Living my best twenty something life, I had no business adopting a dog, but alas, when I saw this little tic tac head on a Craigslist ad, I just knew she was mine. Quickly I realized I was no longer the most important thing in my life. My days and nights revolved around this tiny gremlin who has kept me on my toes every day since. I feel so lucky to get to care for her and spoil her as she enters into her golden years, and in a few short months, she will get to usher me into mine. And no doubt, she will sass me until we both turn gray.
