We are turning our school into an art gallery! Come see over 1,000 student artworks at Art-O-Rama Belding Art Showcase!! Our art teachers Miss Kat and Ms. Sterenberg will be strolling around our galleries. Also we will have a printmaking make-n-take, zen coloring corner with custom coloring booklets and chalk drawing in front of the school. Hope you can make it!

PreK-3 Art For All Update!

Week 4: The students learned about surrealism. They made a collage inspired by Salvador Dali's "Meditative Rose" painting.
Week 5: The students learned about printmaking. They made a collage inspired by Japanese artist Hokusai.
Week 6: The students learned about architect Antoni Saudi's sculpture called "El Drac" or The Dragon. The students created their version of the sculpture.
Also we have added new art galleries in the stairwells called
"Art Cove North" and "Art Cove South". If you are in the building on Monday for parent/teacher conferences, check them out!

Ms. Sterenberg, our Grade 4-8 art teacher, is wondering if anyone has an empty laundry detergent dispenser or unwanted plastic carafe with valve? It would live on the art cart and would be used for fresh water when painting. We like the idea of recycling an unwanted item for use in the classroom and wanted to check this forum before we go purchase one. Thanks!
