Though the South Loop location is new (we're a 2020 baby), the Knuckleheads brand originated in the 1970s and was founded by Larry Puchta as a professional boxing fraternity.

One of the men who continued to build the brand, especially in recent years, is our friend and greatest supporter, , who has guided the careers of hundreds of fighters throughout the last 40 years, including the professional boxing career of Knuckleheads' lead trainer Marty Jakubowski.

For those of you new to Sean Gibbons, he's advised multiple world champions, contenders, journeymen, opponents, and pedestrians in the boxing world. Sean is the CEO of Manny Pacquiao Promotions and a proud advisor to Knuckleheads Boxing and Family Fitness.

We thank Sean for his continued support in building the Knuckleheads brand.

Yes, we train kids.

One of our most commonly asked questions is, "How old does my kid have to be to start training?"

Our answer: As long as they can follow directions, they can join our classes. We don't expect them to be perfect or master techniques right away, but as a family-friendly gym, we want to encourage our members to get their whole family involved at Knuckleheads, even their kids.

Plus, many of our amazing coaches, such as Grandpa Marty, are great with kids and know how to keep them engaged and having fun during classes and personal sessions.

Kids 15 and younger can join Knuckleheads for $69 per month. Kids older than 15 (including college students) can get a discounted membership for $104 with a valid school ID.
