Join us for mental health conversation and collective art building on September 6th at Al Nahda Center, Bridgeview IL at 2pm! Led by Palestinian mental health professional, Hanan Zayed.

The ongoing genocide in Palestine demands our strong commitment to the Palestinian cause. In the face of this, it is important to sustain our resistance and our care for one another.

In this session, we will ask questions such as:
What does sumud mean when living in the United States?
How can we support each other in our fight for a free Palestine?
How can we further engage in this struggle from the context we exist in?

We invite you to bring art materials or other items connected to Palestinian resistance that may inspire you throughout the collective art building.

🚨 ILLINOIS: SAVE THE DATE! 🚨

On Friday, September 19, we will mobilize at the quarterly Illinois State Board of Investment (ISBI) meeting to demand:
– That the ISBI divest state worker pension funds from corporations profiting from and complicit in the genocide in Gaza.
– That ISBI Vice-Chair and Illinois Treasurer Michael Frerichs, who has $100 million of our tax dollars actively invested in Israel Bonds, divest from Israel immediately.
