A Finnish ski resort is launching a treasure hunt for a hidden gold bar worth $23k. Beginning June 18, visitors to Levi in Finnish Lapland can follow a series of clues leading through the region’s hiking trails, biking routes, and other seasonal attractions, with the final clue set to be released on August 22. Organizers say the event is designed to showcase Levi’s lesser-known summer appeal, when the area experiences the midnight sun and daylight stretches around the clock.

The five hardest colleges to get into in the United States are the California Institute of Technology, Minerva University, Columbia University, Yale University, and Stanford University, according to an analysis of the most recent admissions data from the National Center for Education Statistics. Caltech and Minerva topped the list with acceptance rates of just 3%, while Columbia, Yale, and Stanford each admitted only about 4% of applicants.

NASA has officially ended its MAVEN (Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution) mission after more than 11 years orbiting Mars, following an unrecoverable loss of contact with the spacecraft in December. Launched in 2013, MAVEN became the first mission dedicated to studying the Martian atmosphere and how it has been stripped away by the Sun over billions of years.
