7 months without tox! Here’s my story, my results and my mapping in the next post.
When I assess a face for neuromodulator treatment; botox, dysport, or xeomin. I’m never just looking at one line or one muscle.
I’m looking at how your entire face functions.
A full-face (and often neck) neuromodulator assessment allows me to evaluate how muscles interact in both expression and repose. Faces don’t age in isolation, muscles work in patterns. When one area is treated without considering the others, harmony can be lost due to over compensation from another muscle group. When treated thoughtfully, balance is maintained or restored.
My approach is rooted in this question:
How is this muscle contracting today in your 30s… and how will that same contraction present in your 50s and 60s if left unchecked?
Over time, repetitive hyperfunctional movement deepens lines, alters resting tone, and changes facial architecture. Strategic neuromodulation isn’t about freezing—it’s about modulating excessive contraction while preserving natural animation.
Full disclosure: in this example, approximately 120 units were used across the face and neck.
The result? I can still move. I can still emote. I still look like me.
But I’m also doing meaningful preventative work—protecting the face from years of unchecked muscle pull.
This is not about doing more for the sake of more.
It’s about doing what makes sense for your anatomy, your expressions, and your future face.
Thoughtful. Individualized. Long-term focused.
That’s the goal—always.
If you’re getting into aesthetics, or even choosing your injector, here’s what I’ve learned in the last 15 years that matter.
This industry is loud. Brands are loud. Trends are loud.
But good medicine is quiet, consistent, & built over years.
Anatomy matters.
Vascular safety matters.
Complication management matters.
Documentation, communication, humility… all of it matter.
