Today we are featuring composer Kory Reeder. He composed “Snow, 1964”. We are excited share our virtual performance of his work on Monday, January 31st, 2022.
Kory Reeder’s music is often meditative and atmospheric, investigating ideas of objectivity, place, and immediacy, drawing inspiration from the visual arts and political theory. Kory has been artist-in-residence at Arts Letter and Numbers, and the Kimmel, Harding, Nelson Center for the Arts, he has been Artist in Residence in the Everglades National Park, and his music has been performed, recognized, and awarded internationally. Kory has frequently collaborated with theater, dance, and opera programs, has been awarded by The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, and has been released and published on Edition Wandelweiser Records with several releases slated for 2022. Kory is currently pursuing a PhD. in composition at the University of North Texas. Please visit www.koryreeder.com
