New mural by at Anticonquista Café, organized by Delilah Martinez

This piece celebrates the Guatemalan quetzal, the national bird, and its deep connection to Mayan legend and resistance. The quetzal’s story, tied to the bravery of Tecún Umán, reminds us of the resilience of a people and their land.

We’re proud to partner with Anticonquista Café, Chicago’s first family farm-owned coffee roaster, rooted in the Maya Ch’orti’ region. Their mission to reclaim power in the coffee industry aligns perfectly with the spirit of this mural.
