Dildine Elementary PTO

res set aside for Dildine. Frank Dildine traded the land so our school could be built. The architects for the project were Fred H. Porter and Walter Bradley. Garton and Garton, Inc. built Dildine at a cost of $340,000. It was completed in 1957 and at that time could hold up to 450 people in 28 rooms. The first addition to the school was in 1981. This addition to the west side of the building containes a basement and main floor. It currently houses 6 classrooms, 2 resource rooms, the library and computer lab. Another addition in 1986 on the south side of the building features a kindergarten and first grade room. The year 1990 brought the third and largest addition to Dildine; the music room, gymnasium, and kitchen area. Dildine expanded again in 2006 with the addition of a modular building situated on the west side of the building. A major remodel of Dildine was completed during the school year 2020/2021 that required the students to attend school in the "Old Carey/Eastridge" building.
