Though the world knew you as “Dee” from “What’s Happening,” to me, you were simply Dani—my sister in spirit, my confidante, my anchor. Our bond ran deep, and I will forever cherish the intimate conversations that brought us closer. Your passion for life was impossible to ignore—infectious and inspiring, it lit up every room and touched everyone fortunate enough to know you. The pain of your absence is immense, and your absence will be deeply felt. I will carry your spirit with me always, a reminder of the love and light you shared so freely. Well, this is a first! 6 months on the job and I got my byline in the local paper. From radio to television, back to radio and now print journalism! So very blessed to do it all!
