Social awareness — noticing others, reading body language, and understanding personal space — is a skill many neurodiverse individuals work on explicitly, the same way they might practice a math concept or a motor skill. In this moment, we’re supporting Ashraf in recognizing when someone else is already in a space and learning how to position himself alongside them rather than in front. This is proactive skill-building through repetition, modeling, and gentle redirection — not correction for correction’s sake. Every interaction is a chance to practice real-world social navigation in a low-pressure, supportive environment.

Sometimes trying something new starts with just a peek. Instead of jumping all in, we’re planning on starting small—just a 10-minute virtual ride designed to spark curiosity and build comfort.
From there, we gently expand into a 30-minute virtual tour—at her pace, in her space, with no pressure.
For many autistic individuals, new experiences can feel overwhelming. But when curiosity comes first, everything changes.
