Have y’all ever had Cuban food before? Look I know we ain’t in Cuba or Miami, but I found a spot in Maryland in The Heights Food Hall that GOT THAT!! I mean this spots Cuban sandwich is the BEST I’ve ever had!! Let me show you… . Where I am: @eatsaoco . Location Reviewed: 5406 Wisconsin Ave., Chevy Chase M.D. inside @theheightsfoodhall . Menu Includes: *See Website* www.eatsaoco.com . Items Reviewed: Their Hialeah Empanadas (1 beef-$4.50, & 1 chicken-$4.25 with Cuban seasoning, & green sauce). STAMP!! Pungent mild seasoning, a tasty shell…get these!! Their Croquetas (1 chicken, & 1 ham Bechamel based $2). STAMP!! I could eat 37 of these!! Meaty, cheesy…EVERYTHING!! Their Yuca Fries (with that green sauce $4.50). STAMP!! Crunchy, soft, with hint of salt and their STAMPED GREEN sauce…garlicky, & creamy!! Their “Mr. Miami”Little Havana Bowl (with white rice, black beans, yuca bites, garlic sauce, & Rojo Vieja $15). Slim…STAMP!! The ingredients in this bowl blended well together!! Their Miami Club (with smoked turkey breast, bacon, lettuce tomato, mayo, imported Swiss, on Cuban bread $14). LIKE THAT!! Finely chopped turkey, cheesy, if the bacon was crispy I would’ve STAMPED this!! Their Saoco Cubano (with Mojo pork, ham, homemade pickles, seasoned mustard, & imported Swiss, on Cuban bread $15). STAMP STAMP!! This is the absolute BEST Cuban I’ve ever had!! Premium meats, the mustard wasn’t overwhelming, the cheese melted IN the bread…STAMP 2 times!! Their Drinks $3 each (a pineapple soda, & a Yerba Mate soda). STAMP!! The pineapple taste like pineapple, the Yerba jont taste like a cream soda!! The Mulata Coffee (black cold coffee made by S**o $3). DELICIOUS. Not for me, I need high fructose corn syrup or something, BUT if this is your thing…GET IT! Their Mojito (non-alcoholic with lime, & mint $4.50). STAMP!! Bubbly, sharp, & mildly sweet!! . Online Navigation: Easy . Parking: ROUGH! . Music: YouTube- Backyard Band Excuse Me Butterfingers .
