repost via from repost via from " water felt warm actually" 🇷🇺 (ik leef trouwens nog🤣)
His statement is probably 100% true in what he felt. If the air temperature is -60° f and the water temperature below the ice is 33° f, then the difference in those two temperatures is approximately 90° f. The water would most certainly feel warmer than the air.
They should have covered him up completely as soon as he got out of the water though. As you can see in the video, the water on his skin begins to freeze almost immediately, which could be the most dangerous part of this whole fiasco 🤣.
At World's Toughest Mudder in Atlanta in 2018, I distinctly remember wanting to stay in the water because the water temperature was around 50° while the air temperature was in the mid-thirties. I was actually dunking my hands in the water to warm them up. Amazing what you can get used to 😉

The 2022 racing season is now in full affect!!
Up first was the inaugural 5 hour Ultra and a 2nd place overall finish! 100% obstacle completion without as much as a retry!!!
Then came Tough Mudder MO . This year I only participated in the 5k+ with my daughter .07 but we had a blast. She was one of only two females to complete Funky Monkey that day 🥰 (We added that, the Gauntlet and Well Swung to our 5k 😉).
Finally, this past weekend I took part in the first ever LOZ Traverse Ultra event at the Lake of The Ozarks. This event included 33 miles of running and 3 miles of paddling. It was a really fun race in which took home the title! She left and me in her dust! I will be back next year to give that one another go for sure!!
Next up will be 3 laps which I can wait to finally give a go!
2022 is going to be another fun year! 😁
These are my gear choices worn during my victory at the rainy, and muddy Night 50k.

The Swedish have a saying, “Det finns inget dåligt väder, bara dåliga kläder” which translates to “there is no bad weather, there are only bad clothes.”
Funny our customers have a similar saying, "there is no bad weather. I have a Neptune!" 😜
