Didn't quite finish the roof framing this weekend but we will get it ready for shingles next weekend!

Just a little chilly this morning framing on this little home addition. Subfloor on, tommorow we will finish sheathing one walkout wall and its onto first floor walls.

Yes, I know, more flashing. Slow progress working solo this weekend. This solarium has more flashing than an exhibitionist convention but will be water tight. A few well placed trim coil nails, and some beads of sealant will be the finishing touch. Kickout flashing is the last bit of flashing to get rolling up on the roof with siding

Made some progress on this job today. Homeowner didn't know where the junction box for the whirlpool bath light was. It was buried years ago when the basement was finished. We will make it accessible for the owner and they also wanted to replace and relocate the heater for this area. No problem! Did some air sealing with expanding foam and zip tape as there were many gaps in the exterior foam panels. Put down some Blue barrier liquid flashing along the concrete where it meets the framing for a last line of defense, followed by aluminum flashing and house wrap. Got several courses of siding up and called it a day. Going to hit it hard next weekend!

Getting started on this job where we are removing all existing exterior cedar siding and trim, installing house wrap along with James Hardie siding and trim. This homeowner is throwing in the towel on the war on woodpeckers.
