CRUISING TIPS:

Other Travel professionals will most likely want to hang me for saying this. But when it comes to shore excursions or shore tours, I suggest that you not only purchase them through the cruise line itself. I actually go one further and go against the suggestion of the cruise lines, and say book them on board the ship.

If you book your shore excursions through the cruise line itself, you are guaranteed security, and the ship will not leave port without you. And if the ship does have to leave, the cruise line will arrange for your to meet the next port at no charge to yourself. Also, booking while on board is a great advantage in case the ship is diverted and can not make a particular port.

Not booking shore excursions through your travel agent can cost them money. I, however, would rather gain a client for life and get their repeat services, than make a few extra bucks on a client who will only hire me one time.
