Recent rise in measles cases | Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU Measles cases have been popping up, causing increased concern about a disease that was once considered eliminated from the U.S. Most notably known for its red, rash-like appearance, measles can cause serious health complications.

Due to the expected winter weather, our offices will be closed on Monday, January 26 to keep our patients, families, and staff safe.
Please take extra care if you’re heading out, and remember these snow day safety tips for kids:
🧣 Bundle up in warm layers, hats, and gloves
🧤 Keep skin covered to prevent frostbite
⏱️ Limit time outdoors and take warm-up breaks
🛷 Supervise sledding and avoid icy or busy areas
🚗 Travel only if necessary and use caution on the roads
