Hawthorne has a wonderful history of gardening programs for our students, and we would like to enhance that through a greenhouse on site. We have raised a portion of the funds necessary for the greenhouse and have been given a generous donation of soil and other materials from a local group in Chester. Our students love taking part in gardening! The funds would cover the grading and prep of land, the purchase and installation of a greenhouse from a local business, and items needed for the greenhouse like a fan and watering system. If you would like to give, HCA has partnered with Fundiful, which is a fundraising website for non profits. 100% of donations are tax deductible. Hawthorne students finished the school year strong with STEM activities including dissecting squid, formulating chemical reactions, measuring pH, soldering electronic circuits, building remote control snakes, creating spin art and more!
HCA students in K-12 participated in over 60 STEM activities this year, in a wide array of age appropriate labs. Excellent work children and we can't wait to show you what we have planned for next year! We Are Hawthorne!
