🎄✨ Our First Colonial Heights Holiday Parade — Proud to Walk Beside Abraxas Home Care! ✨🎄

On December 2nd at 7pm, I’ll be joining Abraxas Home Care in the Colonial Heights Holiday Parade for the very first time — and I couldn’t be more excited or more proud.

As a candidate for Virginia Senate District 12, it’s an honor to stand beside an organization that reflects the best of who we are. Abraxas Home Care serves adults with disabilities with compassion, dignity, and purpose — making sure they are not only cared for, but included in the life of our community.

This is our first year bringing the Abraxas team, our decorated bus, and our incredible staff to the Boulevard, and we are looking forward to showing the community what true inclusion and joy look like.

Parades remind us that community is built through connection — neighbors waving, families smiling, and people of all ages coming together to celebrate the season.

🍁 Happy Thanksgiving Eve, Virginia Senate District 12. 🍁

As we settle into this holiday weekend, I want to take a moment to speak from the heart and wish every family across our district a warm, meaningful, and restorative Thanksgiving.

This season always brings me back to what truly matters — community, connection, and the simple act of showing up for one another. Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many of you at your doorsteps, in your neighborhoods, and at community events. Every conversation, every story shared, every moment of honesty has stayed with me.

You’ve reminded me that the heart of public service is people. It’s listening. It’s understanding. It’s making sure our neighbors — especially the ones who struggle quietly — know they’re not alone.

As a nurse, an advocate, and now a candidate for Virginia Senate District 12, I carry your voices with me. I think about the families trying to make ends meet, the caregivers doing their best with limited support, the parents fighting for their children’s education, the workers trying to build stability, and the young people who deserve a future full of possibility.

This Thanksgiving, I am grateful for you — for your resilience, your courage, and your belief that our community can continue to grow stronger, safer, and more compassionate.

My hope for your holiday weekend is simple:

This Thanksgiving, my heart is full—and not just with gratitude for my own blessings, but for the strength, resilience, and spirit of the people who make up Senate District 12.

I am thankful for every neighbor, every family, every worker, every caregiver, every teacher, every small business owner, and every community leader who shows up each day to make our district a better place.

But more than anything, I am thankful for our unity.

In a time when the world feels divided, our community continues to prove that we are strongest when we stand together.
