cted to be donated to charity. The dream is to produce enough sales to make a respectable donation to a new charity every month. Wooden Raptor is named after my rescue dog Copper. Within the first three weeks of bringing her home she reminded me of the various raptors in the Jurassic Park film franchise. While Copper may be the name sake her sister Penny is my muse. Penny is also a rescue, the big little sister who may have been a working man's dog. She joins me in my shop napping through the noise and wood chips as I teach myself with each pen this craft. This is a hobby/passion that I enjoy after long hours at the office. I have worked with wood for decades. My first wooden pen made around age 10 in my father's garage with a Swiss army knife. When COVID-19 relocated to work from home I had time to fill instead of commute. In April I found myself once again pocket knife in hand working with the wood from my yard to see what I could create. With the support of family I have transitioned from a pocket knife to a turning lathe, all the while remaining self taught.
