Cheney Rodeo

Miss Cheney Rodeo, Kaydee is ready for all the Trick-or-treaters in Lot P3 at EWU!

Miss Cheney Rodeo 2027, Kaydee Monter, is the 18 year-old daughter of Justin and Heidi Monter and a lifelong resident of Cheney, Washington.

A fourth-generation Cheney Rodeo volunteer, Kaydee grew up shadowing her mom around the rodeo grounds as soon as she could walk. Over the years, she has sold and helped prepare day sheets, served in contestant hospitality, participated in workdays, and taken on a significant role in apparel and souvenirs. These experiences have given her a deep appreciation for the people and hard work behind every rodeo.

Kaydee is a senior at Cheney High School and a sophomore at Spokane Community College, where she studies business. She has trained at Ballet Arts Academy for eight years and attended summer ballet intensives in Colorado and Arizona. An aspiring professional ballet dancer, she also teaches ballet and loves working with children.

Horses have been part of Kaydee’s life since early childhood. She and her new equine partner, Tinkerbell, formed an immediate bond when they began working together in September.

As Miss Cheney Rodeo 2027, Kaydee is proud to serve the rodeo that helped raise her, sharing her love of the sport and the Western way of life while promoting its traditions, volunteers, and community.
