Chelsea Green Space works to achieve environmental justice by engaging residents, environmentalists and health advocates in increasing and improving the amount and quality of open space; creating public access and educational opportunities for all.
On Thursday, April 17 there will be an EPA Public Hearing about the NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) Draft Permits at Chelsea City Hall, City Council Chambers Room, beginning at 7:15 pm. The permits are issued to 7 oil facilities along the Chelsea Creek. You can see the draft permits at http://www.epa.gov/region1/npdes/draft_permits_listing_ma.html . Before the hearing, the public is invited to an informational meeting on the permits from 6:30 to 7 pm.
