Many of the landscapes featured in Whispers in the Field were inspired by the landscapes surrounding Avé's home and studio near Little Wolf Lake.
The familiar fields, forests, and waterways have long served as both subject and muse, with each season offering new colors, light, and perspective. Her paintings celebrate the beauty that exists just beyond our doorstep.
