Jesus knew what He was about to do.

He knew Lazarus would be raised.
He knew death would not have the final word.
He knew how the story would end.

And yet... He still wept.

In John 11, we see a Savior who is not detached from human suffering. He doesn't stand at a distance from grief, frustration, and loss. He enters into it.

The tears of Jesus remind us that God's compassion is not diminished by His sovereignty. He can be fully in control and fully present in our pain at the same time.

What a comfort to know that the One who holds all things together is also the One who feels with His people.

In episode 4 of the Know God Deeply podcast, we're exploring what it means that Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life, and how His power over death gives us hope in the midst of suffering.

Sometimes understanding the Bible starts with asking simple questions.

Who?
What?
When?
Where?
Why?
How?

These questions may seem basic, but they help uncover the details, context, and themes woven throughout a passage.

In this clip, we’re walking through John 1:19–28 and showing how the β€œ5 W’s and an H” can help you observe Scripture more carefully and understand it more accurately.

Because the more attention we give to the text, the more we begin to see what God is communicating through it.
