Learn to Swim started with a dream of continuing the work of teaching vital life skills to children. Kirsten, owner and head coach, started teaching lessons at the age of 12, under the direction of her own competitive swim coach, Lois Weir, in Oak Ridge, TN. Hello all!
For those looking for extracurricular or PE credits:
We will have swim clubs on Tues/Thurs:
Hamilton Place YMCA Homeschool: 10:30-Noon
North River YMCA: 5:30-7pm
All will have a half hour of dry lands/stretching/games followed by an hour of swim practice.
Our season starts August 15 and you can sign up at the Y. Ages 6-17, must be able to pass the Y swim test (swim 25yards with face in, breathing doesn’t have to be correct, and then jump in the deep end, surface, and tread water for 1minute)
