Nash Bowen at Kronos Capital recently had the opportunity to sit down with Peter Knez, former Co-CIO of Fixed Income at BlackRock, global investor, and one of the most respected minds in capital allocation, tokenization, and financial markets.
The conversation centered on something far bigger than AI as a tool. The two discussed how artificial intelligence is fundamentally restructuring capital markets; how data is becoming the most valuable strategic asset of the modern economy; how tokenization is unlocking entirely new real-world asset classes; and how ownership of data, infrastructure, and financial rails may define the next century of economic power.
One of the strongest takeaways from the discussion was simple:
If you own the data, you own the leverage. If you control both the data layer and the financial rails, you are no longer simply providing a service — you become the infrastructure itself.
That is where the real AI race is being won.
