What is an Inventory List?

As you organize your home This Spring & take care of safety issues, it’s also the perfect time to update your home’s inventory list. An inventory list is simply a list of the items you own. Having one can make filing an insurance claim easier if you ever have to.

If you don’t want to manually list every item you have, you can use pictures:

📸From the center of each room, photograph every corner of the room
📸open all closets, dressers and drawers and take a picture of each
specifically note items of high value & take a picture of them.

This is an easy way to create a visual catalog of most of your possessions.

Once you have your inventory list, feel free to send it to us. We can look at your possessions and help you find an insurance policy that provides coverage for them. After we help you find a policy, we can also keep a record of your home inventory in our office. That way, you’ll still have your list if something ever happens to your home. We hope you’ll never need it, but you’ll be glad you sent us a list if you do have to file an insurance claim.
