Located on the 2nd floor of the Maclellan House, the Bryan Room has a romantic feel with a king-size bed, a gas fireplace and views of the Tennessee River from every window. The spacious bathroom has a separate bathtub and step-in shower.

This room is named for J. Avery Bryan, the home’s previous owner and a prominent local businessman and has spectacular views of the Tennessee River, Maclellan Island, the North Shore and Chattanooga Theater Centre. This is the home’s “master bedroom” and features a king-size rice post bed, gas fireplace and Victorian sofa, original to the home.

The Victorian-style T.C. Thompson House was built in 1908 and served as the original residence of former Chattanooga Mayor Thomas Clarkson Thompson. Later on, as president of Chattanooga’s Civitan Club in the 1920’s, Thompson spearheaded a movement to build a hospital exclusively for children, and the new facility opened its doors in 1929. Today, the hospital is known as the Children's Hospital at Erlanger. The T.C. Thompson house was opened in 1994 as the second home of the Bluff View Inn and greatly expanded the room offerings for guests staying at the historic riverfront location.

The house has become very popular for many corporate travelers coming to Chattanooga and is only a few steps away from the fine dining and beautiful art found within the district!
