The world lost a sweet, bright and shiny soul. Radio personality and FACES advocate, John Belar Johnson always lit up the room when he entered. John was always quick to invite FACES: The National Craniofacial Association to his radio show, and worked hard to learn what we did and how to pronounce it! He loved our FACES kids.
We here at FACES are praying for his little girl Izzy, who he adored, and his family. Thank you John for all you have done for FACES. Rest in peace my friend!

We are trying something new this year. There will be an Unmasked next year. For those artists who still want to work with us this year, we are looking for artists to respond to prompts in their artistic mediums. These pieces will be used in a postcard art initiative. Want to learn more this initiative contact Sarah at [email protected].

FACES would like to give a big shout-out to our great friends at the TitleMax offices in the Chattanooga area for their generous year-end donation of used ink cartridges. We are able to recycle these through the Funding Factory and turn them into cash for our clients, to help cover their travel expenses for life-changing reconstructive surgeries.

Thanks to Tommy Osnes, Dinah Rogers, Amanda Pettit, Brittany Daughterty, April Bailey and April Spears at TitleMax for collecting these cartridges all year at their offices and bringing them out to our office! Thanks, TitleMax for your support throughout the year! It makes a difference!

I had the pleasure to hear this young lady speak last night at the FACES Unmasked event. Words cannot begin to described her strength and the love she has in her heart. Everyone in attendance benefited in so many ways just from being around her. I was personally blessed when she let me take this photo. As photographers we see people in so many ways, but looking into her eyes just made me feel better plus the hug after was AWESOME.

Elena Grace Schefer was a pure natural on Talk Radio 102.3 this morning! Thank you Jerry and the whole crew at Talk Radio for making this happen and for your generous donation of fun time things to do for Elena while she's in Chattanooga!
