This solid wood china cabinet has been transformed into a one of kind sophisticated, modern piece. Hand painted in a gorgeous black called Iron Gate and polished with a h**p seed oil. The inside of the bade cabinet is stained Espresso. The original hardware on drawers has been cleaned and painted silver with new crystal k***s on doors. The backing is covered in a black, white and silver lattice print paper.

This cabinet had good bones just needed to be updated. To make it more modern I wanted to remove the top decorative piece and the window grid but little did I know how much work it would end up being! I had a lot of help from my better half on this one! We had to take it all apart just to remove the top piece. After removing the top piece it left a big gap so we had to replace the top.

I also wanted to remove the two trim pieces inside of the cabinet so that it wouldn’t block the wallpaper. We removed the top piece and replaced it with the smaller bottom trim piece for support but it left a gap one the base of the cabinet so that needed to be filled in.

This cabinet ended up being a lot of work but worth it in the end!
