We believe every individual has a wealth of untapped creative potential that is not being harnessed to maximize personal growth or community benefit. We invented a method that uses music improvisation to help people create, communicate and cultivate a better understanding of themselves and the world around them.
MIMA provides music programming in partnership with a variety of schools and community organizations across Virginia. Administrators at the Lugo-McGinness Academy, Blue Ridge Respite, and CRHA (Charlottesville, Redevelopment and Housing Authority), reflect on recent MIMA programs in the communities they serve. These programs are provided at no cost to participants, thanks to the generosity of MIMA's partners and donors.
