📣 Next Tuesday, July 7 at 6:30pm, join C3, our project partners the Center for Community Partnerships and the SELC and the project consultant Dunsky Energy and Climate Advisors for a free community dinner at CitySpace, where we’ll share updates and thoughts on our ongoing gas decarbonization study in a relaxed setting!

Doors open at 6:30pm, and there’ll be a brief presentation at 7pm. Participants are welcome to drop in at any time, make a plate catered by Charlottesville's very own beloved local Pearl Island Catering (with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options all available)🍽️, and engage with other community members and project partners.

The project status will be presented in multiple formats, including both the presentation and posterboards, with project partners available to discuss their part in the work throughout the evening. Registration required so we order enough food! Sign up: bit.ly/ctadinner

⚠️☀️Don’t let Richmond miss this opportunity to invest in clean energy! ☀️ ⚠️ C3 and our partners are asking Richmond residents write to City leadership to support an exciting opportunity for the City to invest in solar on its buildings☀️🏢 and save money! 💰

As the energy affordability and climate crises worsen, solar energy is an increasingly valuable solution that we can rely on. Neighboring localities have done it, we can do it too – but we have to act together! 🤝🏼

Help us make it happen! Take quick action: https://bit.ly/solarbrief

C3's Richmond team has worked out of Gather Arts District office for just over a year now, and we love it. So when we had a chance to meet one of the company's owners, we were happy to offer a free energy walkthrough to see if there were ways to help reduce costs, resulting in a whopping 25% reduction in electricity use compared to the prior year!💡🥳

Our visit uncovered one of the most common problems we see in buildings of all sizes and types: thermostats that run the HVAC when the building is unoccupied, and other settings that could be changed to reduce energy use.🌡️😵‍💫

To provide proper support we called in the controls experts: Michaels Energy, made available at no cost to qualifying Dominion commercial customers via their Building Engagement Program. Not sure if you have a programmable thermostat, or not sure if it's programmed? We can come take a look, make an appointment: https://www.theclimatecollaborative.org/climate-services
